The Twits

Book Club

Last term we started a Book Club in English in our library. We read The Twits, a book by Roald Dahl, the famous English writer who also wrote very popular stories such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda or Danny Champion of the World. Children from different levels took part in it and the experience was fantastic! These are some of the students’ opinions:

“It is amazing to see the level of reading (and encouraging)”

“I’d like to repeat the experience because it was very interesting this time”

“It helped me understand the book better”

“Very interesting and funny”

“It’s interesting to comment books with other people”

“It’s nice to see the kids from different levels discussing the same subject”


Next term we will go on with the Book Club. This time we’ll read The Butterfly Lion a book by Michael Morpurgo, the story of a boy who rescues a white lion cub from the African veld. Come and try! It’s food for thought!
